Forest Academy

National Recognition for Disadvantaged Pupil Achievement

We are proud to share that Forest Academy has been formally recognised by the UK Government for the outstanding achievement of our disadvantaged pupils.

On Friday 23 January, Mrs Lloyd, Headteacher, received a letter from the Rt Hon Bridget Phillipson, Secretary of State for Education, congratulating the school on our pupils’ exceptional outcomes at the end of the 2024/25 academic year.

The letter confirms that our performance places us among the top schools nationally for the attainment of disadvantaged pupils—recognising our continued drive to ensure every child, regardless of background, receives a high-quality education.

In her message, the Secretary of State wrote:

“This success reflects the dedication of your staff and the hard work of your pupils. It shows what can be achieved when ambition and commitment come together... Your school’s achievement demonstrates what is possible.”

This recognition reflects the values at the heart of our school: equity, high expectations and an unwavering belief that every child can succeed. We are incredibly proud of our pupils and staff whose hard work, ambition and commitment have made this possible.
