Standing Up for Respect: Show Racism the Red Card

On 17th October, pupils took part in ‘Show Racism the Red Card’—a national campaign that aligns closely with our core value of Respect.

Children were invited to wear red to show their support for a society free from racism, taking part in a day that encouraged reflection, discussion and solidarity. As part of their home learning, they also created powerful anti-racism posters, with a strong focus on equality, kindness and social justice.

Originally, we planned to display only the winning poster—but the standard of entries was so high that many are now proudly showcased throughout the school.

Our Rights Respecting Ambassadors, Learning Ambassadors and Health and Wellbeing JLT members carefully judged the competition and selected the top three posters. Congratulations to Adam (Y6) – first place, Cleo (Y6) – second place, and Shayla-May (Y3) – third place.

We are proud of the thoughtful contributions made by all pupils. Through our global curriculum and values-led approach, we continue to support children in becoming respectful, informed citizens ready to make a positive difference.
