The visit was a significant moment for our school community, celebrating the deeply embedded nurturing ethos that underpins everything we do. During their time with us, our guests toured the school, met with staff and pupils, and saw first-hand how our inclusive, relationship-based approach supports children’s emotional wellbeing, behaviour and readiness to learn.

This special visit followed Mrs Lloyd’s contribution to the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Inclusion and Nurture in Education at Parliament in February 2025. After hearing Mrs Lloyd speak about Forest Academy’s work in this area, Sarah Hall MP was keen to visit and see our nurturing approach in action.

The presentation of the National Nurturing School Award recognises the sustained commitment of our staff to creating a safe, supportive and aspirational environment where every child feels valued and understood.

It was a proud moment for our whole school community and a powerful affirmation of our belief that when children feel safe and nurtured, they thrive.
