Year 5 Pupil Wins Croydon SACRE Holocaust Memorial Day Competition

A huge congratulations to one of our Year 5 pupils for winning the primary school category in the Croydon SACRE Holocaust Memorial Day competition.

This is a fantastic achievement and a reflection of the thoughtful learning taking place in Religious Education. The competition encouraged pupils to reflect deeply on the significance of Holocaust Memorial Day, promoting understanding, empathy and respect.

On Monday, our RE Lead was presented with a special hamper of Jewish artefacts, along with certificates for the school, in recognition of this success. These resources will further enrich our RE provision and support pupils in developing a deeper understanding of different faiths and cultures.

We are incredibly proud of our pupil’s achievement and the maturity shown in engaging with such an important historical and moral theme.
