Forest Academy Wins National Award for Promoting Healthy Relationships
On Tuesday 23rd June 2026, Forest Academy was proud to receive a national award from Tender in recognition of our outstanding work in promoting healthy relationships across the school community.
Mrs Lloyd (Headteacher) and Miss Perret (Learning Support Assistant) attended a special awards ceremony at the Unicorn Theatre in London, where they accepted the award on behalf of the school. We were delighted to be named winner of the Primary School category, recognising the collective commitment of our staff, pupils and families to creating a safe, respectful and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
The award was presented by actor and presenter Kiell Smith-Bynoe, and during the evening it was a privilege to meet Olivia Colman, Tender's patron, as well as acclaimed poet, author and performer David Larbi. The event brought together schools and organisations from across the country to celebrate outstanding work in relationship education and safeguarding.
This national recognition reflects our long-standing commitment to teaching children about healthy relationships, respect, equality and personal safety. Through our partnership with Tender, pupils have developed the knowledge, confidence and skills to build positive relationships, understand healthy boundaries and make safe, respectful choices.
We are incredibly proud of this achievement, which belongs to our entire school community. It reflects the values we strive to instil in our children every day and reinforces our commitment to ensuring that every child feels safe, valued and empowered.
