Music, Movement and Creativity at Our Playground Prom

This week, every child at Forest Academy took part in an exciting Playground Prom, enjoying a lively musical performance that brought classical music to life through movement, singing and participation.
Before the performance, pupils in Years 2 and 3 took part in interactive Dalcroze music workshops, where they explored how music can inspire movement and expression. Through careful listening, children responded using their bodies and facial expressions, developing their confidence, creativity and listening skills.
The whole school then came together for a high-energy performance by Graffiti Classics, where pupils joined in through movement, call-and-response activities and singing the Playground Prom Anthem. The interactive concert introduced children to a range of classical music in a fun and engaging way, inspiring enjoyment, curiosity and participation across the school.
