Wider Curriculum Opportunities

At Forest Academy, learning extends far beyond the classroom. From unforgettable trips to exciting after-school clubs, we are committed to providing our children with a broad and enriching curriculum that nurtures every talent and interest.

Educational Visits and Enrichment

Over the year, pupils enjoy a wide range of school trips and experiences designed to bring learning to life and broaden horizons. Recent visits include:

  • The Shakespeare’s Globe – exploring the magic of live theatre and our literary heritage

  • Year 6 Residential – building independence, teamwork, and resilience away from home

  • The Paddington Bear Experience – linking our English core text to a magical London adventure

  • Selhurst Park – discovering the excitement of sport and community engagement

  • Polka Theatre, Wimbledon – inspiring a love for performance and storytelling through high-quality children’s theatre

  • Beach trip – hands-on geography and science learning in a fun, memorable setting

  • Kew Gardens – experiencing the beauty and importance of the natural world

  • Chislehurst Caves – uncovering history, geology, and local heritage beneath our feet

  • Science Museum – sparking curiosity and wonder through interactive exhibits and scientific discovery

These opportunities give children lasting memories and support our vision of a literature-rich, experience-rich curriculum.
