Forest Academy

Pupil Premium

The Pupil Premium is allocated to children from low-income families who are eligible for free school meals (FSM) in both mainstream and non-mainstream settings, children who have been looked after continuously for more than six months, and children from Services families. It also includes any pupils who have been eligible for FSM at any point in the last six years.

Schools may use their Pupil Premium funding as they judge appropriate. However, we are held to account for how effectively this additional resource is used to narrow the attainment gap for eligible pupils. We are required to publish our Pupil Premium strategy online so that parents and stakeholders can understand the impact of this funding on learning and achievement within our school.

At Forest Academy, we use this resource to remove barriers, strengthen teaching, and ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive. The visual below summarises the key challenges faced by our pupils, how the funding is allocated, and the strong impact seen in attendance, wellbeing and academic achievement.

For 2025–26, Forest Academy is expected to receive £169,680. Full details can be found in our Pupil Premium strategy document.
